Gaviscon Extra oral suspension contains sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate and calcium carbonate and is used to treat heartburn. Combined, these active ingredients help neutralise excess acid and also forms a raft over the stomach contents which prevents them rising back up into the oesophagus which causes a burning sensation.

Gaviscon Extra Oral Suspension contains 500mg sodium alginate, 213mg sodium bicarbonate, 325mg calcium carbonate.

Adults and children over 12 years: Take 10ml to 20ml after meals and before bedtime up to four times daily.
