Lift the metal clipper arm as far as possible.Turn the clipper arm 180 degrees so that the arm is in the clipping rotation. Push the clipping arm down. Cut the nail. Cut straight across the nail. Do not cut down the corners as this can lead to ingrowing toe nails. Be sure not to cut the nail too short- leave them long enough to protect the end of the toe from pressure and irritation.
