Canesten Combi is a complete treatment for vaginal thrush because it treats both the internal cause and external symptoms. Canesten Combi contains a cream for external application to soothe itching and a single 500mg pessary which is inserted into the vagina to treat the infection internally. The active substance in Canesten Combi is clotrimazole. Clotrimazole belongs to a group of medicines anti-fungals and kills the fungus causing the infection.
